THP Group: Internal Auditor

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Test transactions for compliance against procedures
  • Test transactions for explorations of controls and identify failure to apply controls and weaknesses in control itself
  • Use Tableau to analyze data in order to identify risks and irregularities
  • Develop a thorough understanding of business processes in scope for assigned audits and document the processes in flowcharts and/or process narratives. Identify and document inherent risks and controls within the business processes
  • Review end-to-end processes to ensure controls overall are effective and identify weaknesses
  • Maintain efficient files physically and electronically to support and document audit assignments
  • Maintain high level of confidentiality in communications and handle all forms of data and working papers
  • Show high level of skills in communications with functional Directors, managers, supervisors and staffs
  • Assist in the preparation of a concise and informative audit report to effectively communicate the findings and recommendations.

Role Objective

  • Examine and evaluate the adequacy, effectiveness and efficiency of the organization’s internal control systems and procedures and recommend corrective actions to improve operations, enhance internal controls and reduce costs where possible



  • University degree, Audit/accounting major


  • Experience in the use of an integrated business software package and financial reporting modules, and PC package software (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

  • Good interpersonal skills with a proven ability to communicate effectively (both written and verbal) with all levels within the organization.
  • Ability to stand firm on difficult issues when required
  • Displays awareness of the need for confidentiality in sensitive matters
  • Demonstrated job commitment and personal flexibility to meet changing expectations
  • Commitment to self-development and expansion of knowledge
  • Show high level of skill in communications with functional Directors, managers, supervisors and staffs
